Spin & Score - Fitness Challenge
Category: Fitness · 1-page printable PDF · Ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 · Free for ConnectedPE members
A spin-the-wheel bodyweight fitness scorecard that hands the workout decisions to chance — and the effort decisions to students. The class launches the Spin It wheel via QR code, performs each randomly selected exercise for 40 seconds, logs reps on the scorecard, and chases Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers across 8 rounds.
The randomness is the hook; the learning is in the layers around it. Students rate their effort on the built-in RPE scale each round, apply the STEP principle (Space, Task, Equipment, People) to modify exercises to their own challenge level, and finish with reflection prompts that turn a sweaty session into fitness literacy. Mapped across AC9HP4P09 through AC9HP10P09, it genuinely spans Years 3–10 — the tiers and modifications do the differentiating.
One page, zero equipment beyond a device to spin the wheel. Perfect as a warm-up ritual, a fitness Friday staple, or a sub-ready lesson that runs itself.
What students learn
Students participate in sustained bodyweight exercise, monitor and record their own performance across repeated rounds, set personal-best goals, rate their exertion using an RPE scale, and apply the STEP principle (Space, Task, Equipment, People) to modify activities to their own challenge level.
