Robo Movers is a pair-based movement coding game for ages 5–9: one student is the Programmer, the other the Robot. The Programmer strings together 3–5 commands from twelve cards (Robot Walk, Gallop Gear, Tiptoe Mode, Quarter Turn, Freeze Statue, Power-Down, Star Jump Burst, Reach & Lift, Hop Charge, Repeat x2, Stop & Wait, Debug!) and says the program aloud; the Robot executes each one exactly, then they swap.

The cards sort into Travel, Turn & Balance, Action and Logic, so movement skills and computational thinking are learnt together: order matters, a loop repeats a command, and the Debug card asks the Robot to spot and fix an error. The My Robot Log on page 2 adds a command tracker, a Trace the Program grid, a Design Your Own Program task, a Debug Detective puzzle and Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers.

Two pages, 6–8 cones or spots and a pencil, indoors or out. Suits Foundation to Year 4 locomotor lessons or a Digital Technologies cross-over. Pairs with Number Movers and Pathway Pirates for directional language.

What students learn

Students practise and combine fundamental locomotor skills (walking, galloping, tiptoeing, hopping), stability skills (quarter turns, freezing, one-leg balance) and simple actions (star jumps, reach and lift) by following and giving multi-step movement commands. Working in pairs as Programmer and Robot, they learn that instructions must be clear and ordered, use a Repeat command as a simple loop, and identify and correct errors in a sequence through the Debug card and the Debug Detective puzzle. On the My Robot Log they track completed commands, trace a program on a grid, design and test their own five-command program, and self-assess against Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers, building body control, spatial awareness, listening, turn-taking and early computational thinking at the same time.
