Operation: Unlock — Crack the 5-Digit Movement Code

Category: Games & Activities · 2-page printable PDF · Ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 · Free for ConnectedPE members

A 35–45 minute escape-room challenge for Years 5–10: the class is locked in detention, and teams of 4–6 must earn their way out by cracking a 5-digit code. Each digit comes from a fitness or cooperation challenge — cardio shuttle, wall-sit, slalom, bucket throws and the human knot — with raw scores converting into code digits on the printable Code-Tracker.

The score-to-code conversion keeps effort honest (the numbers matter) and adds a calculation layer under time pressure — movement outputs become maths inputs while the clock runs. Captain protocols give each team a leadership structure, and Trainee, Agent and Master Spy tiers scale the challenge across the age range. Mapped to AC9HPEY603/604 and AC9HPEY803/804.

Two pages, standard PE equipment. Run it as a term opener to build team culture, a fitness-components lesson in disguise, or the reliable crowd-pleaser for the last week of term.
