Deep Sea Throw Challenge

Category: Sport Skills · 1-page printable PDF · Ages F-2, 3-4 · Free for ConnectedPE members

A student-paced throwing progression map with six ocean-themed levels — starting with rolling at a cone in the shallows and building to overarm throws and student-created challenges in the deep. Each level has clear success criteria, so students know exactly when they've earned the descent to the next depth.

Fully differentiated for Foundation–Year 4 and explicitly relief-teacher ready: the map runs itself, which makes it equally useful as a stations rotation, an independent-practice block, or the emergency lesson that still teaches real object-control technique — underarm to overarm, force control, spatial awareness. The final level flips students into designers, inventing challenges to peer-teach. Mapped to AC9HPEF02, AC9HPEY202 and AC9HPEY402.

One page, beanbags and cones. Laminate a class set and it becomes a permanent fixture of your FMS program.
