The Performance Analyst Challenge — a peer-assessment activity card and analyst scorecard that puts students on both sides of the coaching relationship. Working in pairs as Athlete and Analyst, students break a chosen skill into its preparation, execution and follow-through phases, observe one focus at a time, and deliver structured feedback designed to coach a measurable improvement.
The feedback frame — praise, fix, encourage — teaches students that useful coaching is specific and constructive, not just "good job." Athletes get targeted improvement cues; Analysts learn to watch movement with a purpose. Then they swap. Mapped to AC9HP6M08, AC9HP8M08 and AC9HP10M08, it works from Year 5 through Year 10 with any skill you're currently teaching — throwing, striking, serving, jumping.
Two pages, print-and-go: activity card plus analyst scorecard. Use it as a lesson station, an assessment-capable peer-feedback task, or the reflection layer of any skill unit.
