Boing! is the Jump & Land Quest for ages 5–10: twelve numbered jumps across four powers — Long Jumps, High Jumps, Hop Zone and Stick It! — from Bunny Broad Jump and Frog Leap to Rocket Jump, Flamingo Hop and the quarter-turn Spin & Stick. Four cue words carry the whole card: SWING your arms, SPRING off two feet, SOFT bendy knees, STICK the landing.

Landing gets its own power rather than being an afterthought — Cat Landing, Freeze Statue and Spin & Stick train quiet, controlled finishes, so safe technique is explicitly taught, not assumed. The Jumping Journal on page 2 has students measure their biggest jump in footsteps across two attempts, invent and name their own jump, and chase a Jump Star Award where Silver is earned for soft landings all round.

Equipment is a floor line and a pencil (chalk, hoops or lilypad spots optional), mapped to AC9HPEFM01/2M01/4M01. Pairs naturally with Move Masters for the other locomotor skills, then steps up to Jump Into It! — the 6-station skipping circuit.

What students learn

Develop locomotor fundamental movement skills through jumping and landing — swinging the arms, springing off two feet, bending the knees for a soft landing and sticking a balanced finish.

Topics: jumping, landing, locomotor, fundamental movement skills, power, balance, coordination
