More Than an Activity: Teaching Concepts in Physical Education

Physical education is unique in that we use physical activity as a vehicle to teach a variety of concepts. This activity session will provide ready to use strategies for teaching concepts such as empathy, challenge, honesty, personal responsibility, connection, and advocacy. Concept-based learning will be introduced and used by attendees to consider “what concepts can I teach in my curriculum?” Come ready to engage and leave with ways to utilize concept-based teaching in your program.
