Ok, be honest. How many websites do you use the same password with?
If you’re anything like me, I used to run the same identical password across all of my websites, accounts and services which placed me at increased risk of identify theft, fraud and other nasties. We know it’s bad to do this, but honestly, who can remember unique passwords for every website.
I certainly cannot, but thankfully I haven’t had to for the last two years – thanks to the amazing tool ‘Last Pass‘
Here’s how it works
1. Sign up for Last Pass
2. Install the extension for your browser of choice.
3. Start logging into your various websites/services to populate your Last Pass Vault. Last Pass will prompt you to save passwords/usernames
4. Complete the Security Challenge as outlined in the video
5. Take Control of Your Passwords
Let me know when you’ve got sorted with Last Pass and began storing passwords inside
Used after hearing in one of your Podcasts if I’m remembering correctly. Really like the idea of when changing laptop etc you can install last pass extension and away you go again.
Step up from writing passwords in little black book? Secure I know!!
Just saw the video and it looks like a great tool.
I use the PE Geek’s pw Vault to help me remember key sites…still a useful tool for me…this app will help broaden to all sites I visit! Great tip, thanks!
