Using Stories in the PE Classroom
A professional development course for PE teachers, presented by Andy McNeilly. Part of the Pedagogy & Curriculum category.
Connected relationships are one of the special joys of being human. They are what bring us to life, and they help us grow. We all feel the pleasure of spending time and sharing stories with the people in our lives who we care for. By building stronger and more connected relationships when working with our students in our PE classroom, not only will we enjoy spending time together, but our students will build trust in us, and will therefore experience an increase in positive outcomes; socially, emotionally, and educationally.
This simple, yet not simplistic workshop will give participants practical and easy strategies to strengthen relationships in the PE classroom and school setting. Participants will experience this workshop through stories and walk away feeling more energised and ready to jump back into education bringing back fun. Strategies used in this workshop will also help to improve teacher wellbeing.
