How to Play
- Have players stand in a circle
- Explain that the aim is to pass an imaginary lightning bolt around the circle
- To pass the bolt players must clap their hands to the left or right and say ‘zip’ outloud
- The direction of the bolt can be clockwise or anti-clockwise and this can be changed at any time by the player next in the circle sending the bolt directly back
- Players can also choose to say ‘zap’ and point both hands across the circle, the player who is pointed too continues the game from their position
Note
- If someone ‘zips’ when they are not suppose too or if they are delayed to respond, they are either eliminated or simply start a new game
- As players become more familiar with Zip Zap it will get faster and more exciting, so allow a number of rounds to occur
